What’s the story behind the name Dipl.-Ing. Fritz Lichthart BGmbH?

Milestones in over 50 years of company history:

• 2021 Mrs Opitz becomes Managing Director and partner
• 2020 Owner and Managing Director Mr Horst Opitz passes away
• 2019 Mrs Opitz becomes Managing Director as of 01/06/2019
• 2012 Continuous expansion of quality assurance
• 2011 Mr Reinhard Schlichting joins the company as Managing Director
• 1997 First certification according to ISO 9001
• 1995 Shortly after the move, Mr Wilfried Lichthart passed away and Mr Horst Opitz took over as sole Managing Director
• 1995 Move to the new premises with an area of 800 square metres
• In 1992 the storage capacity became too small, Lichthart BGmbH had to expand and bought a plot of land at Römerweg 21, in the Freisenberg industrial estate, which is still our site today, and began construction work in 1994.
• 1987 Dipl.-Ing. Fritz Lichthart passed away, the management was taken over by Mr Wilfried Lichthart and Mr Horst Opitz.
• 1985 Dipl.-Ing. Fritz Lichthart's son, Wilfried Lichthart, joins the company
• 1981 Relocation to Lüdenscheid in Ludwigstraße; due to steady growth the premises became too small, the company Lichthart BGmbH had to expand.
• 1976 Mr Horst Opitz joins the company as a partner.
